两个大相径庭的家庭，出于种种原因被迫一同野营，两个爸爸一边勉力维持家人间的团结，一边谋划争夺诱人的最终奖项。。影片讲述的是当代北京的故事，大兴(孙红雷饰)刑满释放后，发现未婚妻小慧(宁静饰)为了生存在歌厅唱歌，与男人们周旋。从中学起一直暗恋小慧的残疾大款刘义对小慧穷追不舍，并希望她能重回学生年代的清纯。婚姻出现危机的派出所所长陆麒麟赵宝刚饰在调查大兴的过程中，发现小慧是个世故轻浮但平凡真实的女孩，对她产生了好感，而大兴为了夺回爱人准备打劫刘义……。At the beginning of the season Sylvia becomes pregnant with Andy's child. A baby boy, Theo, is born towards the end of the season. This is contrasted with the fate that awaits Sipowicz's older son, Andy Jr., who announces that he is to join the police force.
